1. Definitions

• "Sundial Lane" / "We" / "Us" refers to the educational programme operated at 38 Jalan Bangsar, 59000 Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
• "Session" refers to any Sundial Lane workshop, facilitated meeting, or visit: the Retirement Records Walkthrough, Family Conversation Planning Session, and Quarterly Document Review Programme.
• "Participant" / "You" refers to any person who enquires about, books, attends, or is otherwise a recipient of a Sundial Lane session.
• "Materials" refers to printed folders, checklists, workbooks, and reference sheets provided by Sundial Lane.
• "Agreement" refers to these Terms and Conditions together with any booking confirmation sent by Sundial Lane.

2. Acceptance of Terms

By submitting an enquiry form, completing payment, or attending a session, you confirm that:

• You are at least 18 years of age
• You have the legal capacity to enter into this Agreement
• You have read and understood these Terms and Conditions

These Terms apply to all participants, including individuals attending on behalf of a household group.

3. Service Description

Sundial Lane provides educational workshops and facilitated sessions focused on retirement document organisation and household financial literacy. Sessions are conducted in Kuala Lumpur at 38 Jalan Bangsar and, for the Quarterly Review Programme, at participant homes within the Klang Valley. Sessions are educational in nature. Sundial Lane does not provide financial advice, legal advice, tax advice, or any other form of regulated professional service.

Services are available to residents of and visitors to Malaysia. Sessions are scheduled subject to availability.

4. Bookings and Registration

Session places are confirmed upon receipt of payment. Submitting an enquiry does not constitute a booking. Sundial Lane will confirm session availability and send a payment link by email. Your place is held once payment is received.

Participants are responsible for providing accurate contact information at the time of registration. Sundial Lane is not liable for missed communications resulting from incorrect details.

5. Participant Responsibilities

When attending a Sundial Lane session, participants agree to:

• Treat facilitators and other participants with courtesy and respect
• Not record sessions (audio or video) without prior written consent from Sundial Lane
• Not represent the educational content of sessions as professional financial, legal, or tax advice
• Take responsibility for any documents they bring to sessions; Sundial Lane does not retain, copy, or take responsibility for participant documents
• Not disrupt the session format or the experience of other participants

6. Intellectual Property

All session content, printed materials, workbooks, checklists, and frameworks provided by Sundial Lane are the intellectual property of Sundial Lane. Participants are granted a personal, non-commercial licence to use materials for their own household purposes. Materials may not be reproduced, shared commercially, or used as the basis for a third-party service without written permission from Sundial Lane.

7. Payment Terms

All prices are in Malaysian Ringgit (RM) and are inclusive of any applicable taxes unless otherwise stated. Current session prices are:

• Retirement Records Walkthrough: RM 490 per participant
• Family Conversation Planning Session: RM 850 per household group
• Quarterly Document Review Programme: RM 2,640 per year (four visits)

Payment is accepted via FPX online banking or direct bank transfer. Sundial Lane reserves the right to update pricing; updated prices apply to bookings made after the date of the update and will not affect confirmed bookings.

Cancellation and refunds: If you cancel a booking more than five working days before the scheduled session, Sundial Lane will refund the full amount paid. Cancellations made within five working days of the session are not entitled to a refund but may be transferred to a future session date at Sundial Lane's discretion. If Sundial Lane cancels a session, participants will receive a full refund or a transfer to an alternative date.

8. Session-Specific Terms

Retirement Records Walkthrough: Group sessions are capped at 12 participants. Private sessions are subject to separate scheduling and pricing. Participants are encouraged but not required to bring their retirement documents.

Family Conversation Planning: Suitable for 2–6 members of one household. The session is approximately 90 minutes. All participants must be present for the session to proceed.

Quarterly Document Review Programme: The programme covers four visits across twelve months. Visits are scheduled by mutual agreement. The programme is recommended for participants who have attended the Retirement Records Walkthrough. Sundial Lane will make reasonable efforts to accommodate scheduling requests; visits missed by the participant without 48 hours notice may be forfeited.

9. Disclaimers

Sessions are provided for educational purposes only. Sundial Lane does not provide financial advice, legal advice, tax advice, or any other professional service requiring a licence under Malaysian law. Nothing communicated in a session constitutes a recommendation, endorsement, or instruction with respect to any financial decision, legal matter, or tax filing.

Participants who require professional advice are responsible for engaging appropriately licensed advisers. Sundial Lane makes no representation as to the completeness or suitability of session content for any participant's specific circumstances.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by Malaysian law, Sundial Lane's liability to any participant is limited to the amount paid for the session giving rise to the claim. Sundial Lane is not liable for indirect, consequential, or incidental losses, including financial decisions made by participants following attendance at a session.

Sundial Lane is not liable for the loss or damage of documents brought to sessions by participants. Force majeure events (including natural disasters, public health measures, or circumstances outside reasonable control) that prevent a session from proceeding will not result in liability beyond a full refund of amounts paid.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Sundial Lane, its facilitators, and team members against any claims, losses, or damages arising from your breach of these Terms or your misuse of information provided in a session.

12. Termination

Either party may terminate participation in the Quarterly Document Review Programme with 30 days' written notice. If Sundial Lane terminates the programme due to participant breach of these Terms, no refund will be issued for visits already conducted. If Sundial Lane terminates without cause, a pro-rated refund for unused visits will be provided.

13. Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of Malaysia. In the event of a dispute, both parties agree to first attempt resolution through direct written communication. If direct resolution is not achieved within 30 days, disputes may be referred to mediation under the Malaysian Mediation Centre.

The courts of Kuala Lumpur have jurisdiction over any matters arising from these Terms that cannot be resolved through mediation.

14. General Provisions

• Entire agreement: These Terms, together with your booking confirmation, constitute the entire agreement between you and Sundial Lane.
• Severability: If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in full force.
• Waiver: Failure by Sundial Lane to enforce any provision does not constitute a waiver of that provision.
• Assignment: You may not assign your booking or programme place to another person without prior written consent from Sundial Lane.

15. Changes to These Terms

Sundial Lane may update these Terms from time to time. Updated Terms will be published on this page with a revised effective date. For confirmed bookings, the Terms in effect at the time of booking apply unless you are notified otherwise.
