This page explains how Sundial Lane uses cookies on our website, what types of cookies we may set, and how you can control them. We have kept the language plain and the sections short. If something is still unclear, write to us at [email protected].

What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files that a website places on your device (computer, phone, or tablet) when you visit. They are stored in your browser and sent back to the website on your next visit, so the site can remember things about you — like whether you have already accepted this cookie notice.

Cookies cannot run programmes or carry viruses. They are just small pieces of text. Most websites use them to some degree because they make sites easier and more consistent to use.

You can choose to disable most cookies through your browser settings or using the controls below. Some parts of the site may not work correctly without them.

Types of cookies we use

Essential cookies

Always active

These cookies are necessary for the website to function and cannot be switched off. They are usually set in response to actions you take — such as filling in a form or setting your privacy preferences. They do not store personal information that could identify you.

Examples: cookie consent preference, session security token

Analytics cookies

Optional

These cookies help us understand how visitors use our website — which pages are visited most, where people come from, and whether any pages cause problems. The information is aggregated and anonymous; no individual is identified. We use this to improve the site over time.

Examples: Google Analytics (page views, session duration)

Marketing cookies

Optional

These cookies track your visits across websites so that advertising networks can show you relevant ads. If you disable these, you will still see adverts on other websites — they just will not be tailored to your previous visits to this site.

Examples: Facebook Pixel, Google Ads conversion tracking

Preference cookies

Optional

These cookies remember settings you choose — such as your language or region preference — so you do not have to re-select them each time you visit. They make the experience more consistent without being used for tracking.

Examples: language selection, display settings

Third-party cookies

Some cookies on this site are set by third-party services we use. We do not control how these services use the data they collect — please read their own privacy and cookie policies for details.

Google Analytics

Used to understand how visitors navigate the site. Data is anonymised and aggregated. Google's cookie policy applies.

Facebook / Meta Pixel

May be used to measure the effectiveness of advertising on Facebook. Meta's cookie policy applies.

Microsoft Bing Ads

May be used to track conversions from Bing search advertising. Microsoft's cookie policy applies.

How long cookies last

Session cookies

These exist only while your browser is open. They are deleted automatically when you close the browser tab or window. They are typically used for things like keeping a form active while you fill it in.

Persistent cookies

These remain on your device after you close the browser, until they expire or you delete them manually. Duration varies:

  • Cookie consent preference — 12 months
  • Analytics identifiers — up to 24 months
  • Advertising pixels — up to 90 days

Your cookie preferences

Use the toggles above to enable or disable each category, or use the buttons below. Your choices are saved in your browser's local storage and will be remembered for future visits. Essential cookies cannot be disabled — they are needed for the site to work.
